Above is a pot I glazed. It uses a process called Raku, where the pot is placed on a small amount of saw dust while it is still glowing red hot from the kiln. Then the pot and the saw dust are deprived of oxygen and the resulting smoke reacts with the clay and the glaze to make for pretty patterns. As you can see. I went for black, mainly.
